Just wanted to post a couple of pictures today. I will post more later when there is time but in the meantime, I couldn't wait to share this .........
This is what is referred to at Woodward as being "Tapped". It means you and a handful of others were selected to attend their Talent Advancement Program and is by Invitation Only. I can't even begin to describe how big of a deal this was to Tanner (and me - I didn't sleep but a couple of hours I was so pumped about it). I don't want to sound like I'm bragging. I'm not. I'm just incredibly proud of him!
The biggest thing I can say about this part of our week in PA is God is awesome and unexpected. Maybe later I can try to explain what I mean about that but for now, I'll just say it was an answer to something. No, I never even thought to pray that Tanner would get Tapped. I didn't even pray we would get to go back. God simply showed up to make something better than it already was and in a completely unexpected way. He also reminded me that He cares about the hopes and dreams of a 10 year old boy.
This is a picture of Tanner as I handed him the TAP certificate. He had no idea and I found out only moments before he did. Typically, they award these the last night of camp but since Tanner was leaving a day early, he got it Thursday night. Tanner was in a little bit of shock. Tanner told me he thought that because of his age, they might not consider him.
